How to create a Facebook group:

1. Log on to www.facebook.com and wait for the homepage to appear. 

2. Log in as usual with your valid account.

3. On your homepage click on the 'Create Group' located on the left side column.

4. Fill in the details required and choose a group name. 

5. Add at least one member to join your group.

6. Click the 'Create Group' button and your group is set to go.

How to create Yahoo Groups. 

1. Log on to groups.yahoo.com and wait for the homepage to appear.

2. You can log in using a valid yahoo account.

3. Click on 'create group' and fill in all the details required. 

4. Again, click on the 'create group' button and your group is set to go.

How to Create:

Facebook Account

1. Log on to www.facebook.com and wait for the homepage to appear.

2. Fill in your details at the Sign Up column and click the Sign Up button (green in colour).

3. You will have to follow several steps upon completing your account.

4. The last step is you have to verify your account through a valid email address.

To create an official Facebook URL, click the 'Account Settings' button, click on 'Username' and enter your desired URL. 

Yahoo Account

1. Log on to www.yahoo.com and wait for the homepage to appear.

2. Click on the 'Sign Up' button and fill in your details required by Yahoo.

3. After clciking on the 'Create Account' button wait for your inbox page to appear.

4.There will be a message from the Yahoo officials welcoming you after you have completed the sign up process.

Google Account

1. Log on to www.google.com and wait for the homepage to appear.

2. Click on the 'Sign In' button and wait for the the page to appear.

3. Under the sign in section there's a sign up section. Click on 'create an account now' button.

4. Start filling your details required by Google.

5. After completing your google account you will have to verify it through your alternate email.

Blog

1. Log on to www.blogger.com and wait for the homepage to appear.
2. You ought to have a valid google account beforehand.
3. Click on the 'Get Started' button (orange in colour).
4. Fill in your details required by Blogger.
5. After completing your blogger account you will have to verify your email address.

Week 1 Reflection

Reflection (Week 1)

            I’ve learnt about the general picture of computer this week. Understanding the system and the components which made up the computer itself were quite easy for me because I do know a little bit of something about computer.

            I learnt about the components which made up a PC (personal computer). There are several things I know such as the Central Processing Unit and the RAM. These two are very vital to the computer to function. The tasks given by the lecturer were to create an official yahoo and google account, creating yahoo group, a blog and a facebook group.

            I encountered a little of problem creating my yahoo group. I came up with a wrong name and can’t seem to change the name. But, I managed to change it at the end. After inviting my classmates to join the group they don’t seem to accept my invitation. After I tried the second time, they still haven’t received my invitation.

            Thankfully, I have a classmate who is very technology savvy. I asked her about it and she told me why they didn’t receive any invitation from me. After 3 times trying, I managed to send my invitation to my classmates.

            Next, I created another facebook account for this subject purposes. After the account was created, I set up a facebook group to complete my tasks for facebook.  The last task I need to finish was to come up with a blog. I do own a blog but the design is not mine, I’m only the administrator but not a blog designer.

            It was quite challenging for me because I can’t seem to design a blog that well. After getting tips from one of my classmates I manage to do it.
